We were DEEP into being nostalgic and futuristic at the same time. Y2K channels the late ’90s and early 2000s pop culture vibes. We (yes, we are aging ourselves) wore low-rise jeans (and developed severe body dysmorphia from it), baby tees/bandana tops, shiny/iridescent fabrics, tiny backpacks, platform sneakers, and colorful accessories.

People into this aesthetic love the era’s music, movies, and internet culture: Britney Spears, TLC, Lindsey Lohan, and phones with physical keyboards. This was the early digital age. I miss it so much.
